Description
English: Originally intended to be a night school for workers and labor men, this institution is one of the main places to visit in Coyoacan. The building was founded in 1936 by Manuel López Tapla, who was the man in charge of the National Music Conservatory. It forms part of the National Institute of Fine Arts and is known to be one of the most popular places to study music in Mexico. In Coyoacan, lots of culture-related events take place here, being (as of today) one of the main places to celebrate “Día de Muertos”. This shot is from the main entrance.
