கூவாப்புளி , சிலை , சௌண்டாலி என்றெல்லாம் அறியப்படும் மரம் இது ;சர்க்கரை நோய்க்கு இது மருந்து தயாரிக்கப் பயன்படுகிறது ; ஆஸ்துமா மற்றும் இருமல் நோய்க்கும் இம் மரம் மருந்து; குட்ட நோய்க்கும் மருந்தை அளிக்கிறது இந்த மரம் என்பர் ; வயிற்றுப் புண் மற்றும் தோல் நோய்களுக்கான மருந்தாகவும் இம் மரம் பயனாகிறது.
