مصرى: تعتبر حلق الرأس أمرًا شائعًا ، حيث يمثل البداية الجديدة التي ستتم عندما ينتقل المرء من مرحلة إلى أخرى من حياتة.
وترتدى النساء الملابس ذات الألوان الزاهيةوتتزين بالحلى المصنوعة من الخرز والفصوص الملونة. وترتدى ايضا الأساورا. تقوم نساء الماساي بحياكة المجوهرات والخرز بانتظام. يلعب عمل الخرزة هذا دورًا أساسيًا في كسب المالصناعة الخرز ، التي تقوم بها النساء ، لها تاريخ طويل بين الماساي ، الذين يعبرون عن هويتهم ومكانتهم في المجتمع من خلال الحلي الجسدية ورسم الجسم. قبل الاتصال بالأوروبيين ، كان يتم إنتاج الخرز في الغالب من المواد الخام المحلية. في أواخر القرن التاسع عشر ، وصلت كميات كبيرة من الخرز الزجاجي الأوروبي ذي الألوان الزاهية إليهم فاستبدل عمال الخرز الخرزات القديمة بالمواد الجديدة وبدأوا في استخدام مخططات ألوان أكثر تفصيلاً. |
