English: Mohammad-Ali Taskhiri (born 19 October 1948) is an Iranian cleric and diplomat. During the 1980s Taskhiri served as the Iranian representative to the Organisation of the Islamic Conference and was involved in promoting Iranian interests during the height of the Iran–Iraq War.

فارسی: محمدعلی تسخیری در ۲۷ مهر ۱۳۲۳ در شهر نجف متولد شد. پدرش علی‌اکبر تسخیری تنکابنی از اهالی رامسر و مادرش، انسیه بیگم از اهالی اصفهان بود. وی در اوان کودکی، روخوانی قرآن کریم را فرا گرفت. سپس تحصیلات ابتدایی را در مدرسه «منتدی النشر» به پایان رساند که با مدیریت محمدرضا مظفر اداره می‌شد. وی در آنجا، علاوه بر مظفر از استادانی همچون: الغبان و شیخ مطر بهره برد و سپس تحصیلات متوسطه را در دبیرستان شبانه «خورنق» پی گرفت. در همان روزگار، به سفارش پدر، روزها نزد یکی از افراد متدین نجف، کار می‌کرد. چون علاقه ویژه‌ای به شعر و مطالعه آثار شاعران و نویسندگان بزرگ داشت، موفق شد در سایه تشویق آموزگارانش، قریحه شعر و ادب دوستی‌اش را نیز شکوفا سازد.

وهو الأمين العام السابق لـ المجمع العالمي للتقريب بين المذاهب الإسلامية. وهو يعد من الشخصيات الإسلامية الداعية للتوفيق بين السنة والشيعة ومناهضة التكفير داخل إطار العالم الإسلامي بمذاهبه المتعددة |
