Description
עברית: בית שאן מוזכרת במקורות והיא מיושבת ברציפות מאז התקופה הכלקוליתית (4000 לפנה"ס).היא ממוקמת על צירים של כמה דרכים אסטרטגיות:ירושלים-טבריה ; בקעת הירדן-הים התיכון; דרך הים שחיברה בין מצריים למסופוטמיה, נמצאת על נקודת המפגש בין בקעת הירדן לעמק יזרעאל .
