Description
Русский: православная икона с подробным отображением Синайской горы, связанных с ней библейских событий и святых (фрагмент)

На самой высокой скале («Гора Синай» – Кορυφή) изображен пророк Моисей, принимающий скрижали с Десятью заповедями из рук Бога. Надписи на греческом подтверждают, что это место связано с дарованием Закона.

На разных уровнях горы изображены монахи-отшельники в молитвенных позах, символизирующие аскетическую жизнь, связанную с Синаем. Кельи встроены в скалы, что характерно для Синайских монастырей.

На правой стороне горы изображено здание, символизирующее монастырь Святой Екатерины, который расположен у подножия Синайской горы.
