Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Destroyed Palace of culture of cement plant workers.

The opening of the Palace of culture for cement plant workers was scheduled for June 22, 1941 - date of the Great Patriotic war (World War II) beginning. Between September 11, 1942 and September 16, 1943, the frontline often passed through the building itself, changing hands between soviet and fascist troops. During the year of fighting, the building was almost completely destroyed. In the 50s, it was decided to make the Palace of culture a monument of war of federal significance. On the pedestal is a tank T-34-85 - monument to Heroes Tankmans.
