Українська: Колорадський жук (Leptinotarsa decemlineata Say, 1824) роду Leptinotarsa (Chevrolat in Dejean, 1836) родини Листоїди (Chrysomelidae Linnaeus, 1758) – широко поширений шкідник картоплі. Комаха з повним перетворенням. Личинка після виходу з яйця проходить чотири стадії і заляльковуються. Імаго живе, як правило, один рік але, буває, проводить у діапаузі два або три роки. Поширений по всій території України.
English: The Colorado potato beetle (Leptinotarsa decemlineata Say, 1824) of the genus Leptinotarsa (Chevrolat in Dejean, 1836) of the family Leaf beetles (Chrysomelidae Latreille, 1802) is a widespread pest of potatoes. The insect has a holometabolous. After coming out of the egg, the larva goes through four instars and pupates. The imago lives, as a rule, for one year, but sometimes spends two or three years in diapause. The beetle is widespread throughout the territory of Ukraine.
