Description
Русский: ЮСУПОВСКИЙ САД разбит в 1790-х гг. на территории усадьбы князя Б. Г. Юсупова на участке между р. Фонтанкой и Садовой ул. Пл. 4,3 га. Имел регулярную планировку, включал пруды и каналы. В конце XVIII в. по заказу князя Н. Б. Юсупова сад превращен в пейзажный, с садовыми постройками, искусственными горками и большим искусственным прудом (сохр.). В 1810 г. усадьба Юсупова куплена в казну для размещения Института корпуса инженеров путей сообщения. В 1836-40 гг. со стороны Садовой улицы установлена фигурная решетка (инженеры з-да Сан-Галли В. Трофимович и К. Кольман).
