Description
Українська: Монумент Незалежності України - пам'ятник, присвячений незалежності України. Монумент розташований в центрі Києва на Майдані Незалежності. Стилістично являє собою суміш українського бароко та ампіру. Монумент споруджено в композиційному центрі Площі Незалежності в Києві на честь 10-річчя незалежності України в 2001 р Являє собою 52 - метрову колону, увінчану фігурою жінки (Берегині) з калиновою гілкою в руках. Загальна висота - 62 метри. В якості моделі для створення Берегині автор проекту Анатолій Кущ використав свою дочку - Крістіну Катракіс.
