Summary
[edit]DescriptionЗелник.jpg |
English: Zelnik with meat. Traditional Macedonian food, which is variously prepared in different parts of Macedonia. In the Mariovo region, it is prepared in such a way that the zelnik is baked in a wood-carved or baked oven, after having previously filled the middle part with a dairy (meat, cheese, spinach, leeks, chard or pumpkin) and covered with a thin layer of dough. It is served with homemade sour milk, buttermilk, and white Mariovo cheese.
