Русский: Перед нами жук-носорог. Жук-носорог является представителем подрода Oryctes рода Oryctes, относящегося к подсемейству дупляки (Dynastinae) в составе семейства пластинчатоусые (Scarabaeidae). Данный род включает в себя около 40 видов, широко распространённых в восточном полушарии. Большинство видов обитает в афротропическом биогеографическом регионе, который охватывает Африку к югу от пустыни Сахары и южную часть Аравийского полуострова. Представители рода — преимущественно крупные жуки длиной до 50 мм, чёрного, бурого или коричневатого цвета с сильно вытянутым, умеренно выпуклым телом. Самцы всех видов отличаются, как правильно, сильно развитым рогом на голове (выраженный половой диморфизм) и мы это прекрасно видим на данном фото.
English: Before us beetle rhinoceros. Beetle rhinoceros is a representative of the subgenus of the genus Oryctes Oryctes related to duplate subfamily (Dynastinae) as part of the family of scarab (Scarabaeidae). This genus includes about 40 species, widely distributed in the Eastern hemisphere. Most species live in Afrotropical biogeographic region, which covers Africa South of the Sahara desert and the southern part of the Arabian Peninsula. Members of the genus are mostly large beetles, up to 50 mm, black, brown or brownish color with very elongated, moderately convex body. Males of all species differ, how strongly developed horn on its head (pronounced sexual dimorphism), and we see it in this photo. |
