Русский: Дом трудолюбия: улица Толмачева, 18, Пермь, Пермский край

Дом трудолюбия. Нашёл я его в окружении домов советской постройки на ул.Толмачева 18 в г.Пермь.

После революции все старое шло под слом, даже большинство центральных улиц Перми были переименованы в соответствии с символами наступившей диктатуры пролетариата. Так, улица Брюхановская была переименована в честь уроженца Екатеринбурга Николая Толмачева, который отличился во время гражданской войны.

22 (9 по старому стилю) декабря 1912 года в г. Перми освящено здание Дома Трудолюбия, специально для него выстроенное. Губернатор Д. Арсентьев на церемонии открытия разъяснил, что это будет не пристанище для нищих, не богадельня обычного образца. Он будет давать работу, кров и пищу. Работу — временную, до приискания человеком постоянного места. Здесь действовали белошвейная, переплетная, сапожная и столярная мастерские, трепали мочало, изготовляли канаты, делали швабры и веники.

Однако с приходом советской власти здание было реквизировано. В 1917-1918 годах здесь начали действовать штаб Красной Армии и райком РСДРП (б), затем – рабочий клуб и библиотека.

В настоящее время в здании располагается школа № 84.
