Summary

[edit]
Description
Deutsch: Wappen der Gemeinde Õru
English: Coat of arms of Õru Parish
Eesti: Õru valla vapp
Vapi kirjeldus
hõbedasel kilbil sinine vai, viimasel kilbivärvi kannel ja aupunktis kroon.
Lipu kirjeldus
valgel väljal sinine vai, viimasel väljavärvi kannel ja aupunktis kroon. Lipu laiuse ja pikkuse suhe on 1:1, normaalsuurus 105×105 cm.
Selgitus
vapivärvid viitavad Valgamaale. Sinine vai tähistab vallamaade paiknemist Väike-Emajõe oru ja Valga nõo piires. Kannel märgib selle paikkonna elanike läbi sajandite kestnud laululembust ja vaimuerksust. Samuti osutab kannel Fr. Kuhlbarsile, kelle loomingus kandlel keskne koht on. Kroon sümboliseerib muistset Kungla aega ja ka seda, et valda kunagi vürstivallaks kutsuti.

Autor on Priit Herodes. Sümbolid võeti kasutusele 19. veebruaril 1997.

Kasutamise kord
vallalippu kasutatakse valla pidupäevadel ja tähtsündmustel. Vallalipp on alaliselt heisatud vallavalitsuse hoonele. Vallalipu lipupäevad määrab vallavalitsus.[1]
