English: Staff Sgt. Omar Arellano, 455th Expeditionary Security Forces Group NCO in charge of J5 physical security, was presented the “Warrior of the Week” at Bagram Air Field, Afghanistan, Aug. 28. Arellano, a native of Fargo, N.D., stationed at Hector Air National Guard Base, N.D., expertly coordinated an outside-the-wire mission where he installed armored guard facilities worth more than $150,000 at key Afghanistan National Police checkpoints. This action strengthened the airfield’s outer security ring and prevented threats from reaching the installation. Additionally, he led 82 joint service personnel in multiple tasks to harden Bagram Air Field’s perimeter. |
