Florence Nightingale’s reforms were far reaching. This book describes how nursing should be carried out for a civilian population. It is an account written about Liverpool Nurses’ Training School and its foundation and development. In 1861, William Rathbone (1787–1868), a philanthropist, set up a nursing training school associated with the Royal Liverpool Infirmary with Nightingale’s help and advice.
