English: Col. Paul Calvert, left, commander of the 2nd Advise and Assist Brigade, 1st Infantry Division, United States Division - Center and an Athens, Ga., native, speaks with Maj. Colleen Stephens, behavioral health officer with 2nd AAB, 1st Inf. Div., USD-C, after awarding her the Combat Action Badge at Camp Liberty, Iraq, March 27. The badge provides recognition to non-infantry soldiers who personally engage enemy forces in combat or are engaged by an enemy force. Insurgent forces used an anti-armor hand grenade to attack a convoy in which Stephens was riding in early March. |
