Description
English: 'Black Rhinoceros', Hancock Museum As befits a Natural History Museum, the grounds have this sculpture by Christine Hill. The sculpture was erected in 1991 as 'a reminder that the rhino, one of the world's great animals, is threatened with extinction by the greed of mankind' http://vads.bath.ac.uk/flarge.php?uid=75419&sos=3 Knitted leg warmers are courtesy of the 2010 Science Festival. The terraced houses in the background are on Jesmond Road West.
