Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The traditional "Pilon" mortar is used to make the dish "fufu" which is made by cooking cocoyam (taro), yam, plantain, or a mix of cassava and plantain, then pounding it for hours until it is sticky and firm like bread dough. It is usually served with a soup such as palm nut or groundnut (similar to peanut) soup.
