Description

During the winter the coast around Anchorage becomes an eerie, surreal place. The low sun smears pink and orange light across blue and purple snow, and the extreme tides and subarctic temperatures make bizarre abstract sculptures out of ice. This is a photo of my brother Erik standing on a stranded iceberg.
