Dear Ankry, Please provide evidence to support your allegations of "fake date" and your claim that I am not Jacob Carton. Sincerely, Jacob Carton--JaCaw (talk) 02:58, 2 April 2020 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by JaCaw (talk • contribs) 20:03, 1 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Wikipedia, I need help. This process is very confusing. How do I establish in a secure way that I am Jacob Carton, that I have expertise in my father's life, and I own the art and images I have published on this page as this daily barrage of emails, false accusations, and deletions is very disappointing. Sincerely, Jacob Carton--JaCaw (talk) 02:58, 2 April 2020 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by JaCaw (talk • contribs) 19:49, 1 April 2020 (UTC)--JaCaw (talk) 20:04, 1 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Wikipedia, I possess the originally developed paper photo at issue. I then digitally rephotographed these paper photos myself before loading them to Wiki. The photo is in front of painting Norman Carton painted circa 1959 and matches his appearance from numerous other photos I own from that period. Sincerely, Jacob Carton--JaCaw (talk) 02:58, 2 April 2020 (UTC)--JaCaw (talk) 20:04, 1 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

JaCaw I apologize if the process of contributing to Wikimedia projects is confusing. I do not mean to speak for any other editor, but I think that what Ankry has described as a "fake date" in the deletion nomination could be better phrased as an incorrect date. That is, the photo of Norman Carton was originally taken around 1959, but the en:exif data shows a date of 6 March 2020.
Regarding "How do I establish in a secure way...", your identity and copyright, please follow the steps listed at Commons:OTRS. The same link to OTRS was also provided at the deletion discussion I started, Commons:Deletion requests/Art by Norman Carton. Wikimedia requires its contributions to be freely licensed, and proof of licensing should be submitted to via Commons:OTRS for review by volunteers. Wikimedia Commons and its editors do not seek to falsely accuse you of anything, and I again apologize if it seemed that way. The project simply must be certain that all contributors and contributions are freely and properly licensed. Vycl1994 (talk) 10:26, 3 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
