[edit]- Thanks, Pitke (talk). I'd actually rather even not have my username associated with this picture, is there a way to remove that too? Cheers. -- MosheA (talk) 16:18, 1 January 2020 (UTC)
- As things stand, the problem is that it's licensed under a Creative Commons attribution license - so at least your photographer pseudonym or Wikimedia name needs to be associated with it as a matter of license. Perhaps you could re-license it as PD-self or {{Cc-zero}} so it would be a free use image without need to have any name of yours associated with it. -- Infrogmation of New Orleans (talk) 17:54, 1 January 2020 (UTC)

- Please see the talk page File_talk:CowDefecating.jpg. The current license REQUIRES the attribution to the author. Redacting the author's name seems to create a paradox. How can it be free licensed for reuse if it is impossible for reusers to comply with the required author attribution? (I've suggested an easy solution, but the author needs to consent to relicense for that to work; at present we seem to be somewhere between a paradox and an outright violation of license.) -- Infrogmation of New Orleans (talk) 15:42, 29 January 2020 (UTC)
- The license states that if an attribution string or name is supplied, that should be attributed, but he author can also just wish that "Wikimedia Commons" be attributed instead. --Jonatan Svensson Glad (talk) 19:21, 2 February 2022 (UTC)
