- I just had an issue like that. Here was the advice given to me by Radomianin If the new image is significantly different from the existing one, then a new version should be uploaded and placed with the headline template Alternative below the first image and all comments of this nomination. For example: File:New version.jpg|480x320px. However, if it is only slightly different and represents a qualitative improvement, you can update the existing photo with a new upload. - I have a few versions I want to upload but I was thinking of first uploading the one that's the least different (and better quality obvs) and think it should replace the original; but I can't upload it as I'm not autopatrolled (and won't be for another 300 edits).
