- Info Getting the sun and a good visible moon in the same image isn't that easy up here in the north, unless you have an eclipse or a very wide panorama. However, if you are lucky to get a waxing moon close to the winter solstice, they are only about 90° apart. On this day a cloud bank came in from the south, forming a nice "night and day" transition arc between the moon and the setting sun. The image is not distorted, it really looked like this with the curved cloud. The contrails and the magpie in the spruce were bonuses. -- Cart (talk) 13:38, 16 December 2018 (UTC)

- Oppose Between day and night very little happens here. The branches are rather disturbing and the processing errors should be repaired.--Ermell (talk) 17:07, 16 December 2018 (UTC)
- Merge errors fixed. Thanks for letting me know. I agree, this is a very "clean" version of this scene since with more going on, the moon might almost get lost. Let's hear what the others think. --Cart (talk) 17:32, 16 December 2018 (UTC)
- Oppose All those branches in the foreground bother me.--Peulle (talk) 21:26, 16 December 2018 (UTC)
- I withdraw my nomination Ok, let's try the other one instead, no use prolonging it. I didn't think the braches would be such an issue. Thanks anyway. :-) --Cart (talk) 21:50, 16 December 2018 (UTC)
