- Comment Very noisy and too dark in my opinion -- Basile Morin (talk) 02:24, 17 November 2024 (UTC)
- While I agree with the critic about the noise - it is indeed visible in the image - I cannot agree that the photo is underexposed. The directional light from above excellently reveals the object's texture and creates an interesting three-dimensional effect. This lighting is clearly an artistic choice, not a technical error. In photography, there is no 'right' or 'wrong' lighting, but rather different artistic choices that support the image's idea and mood. In this case, this directed lighting gives the photo its intended dramatic effect. Janeklass (talk) 04:47, 17 November 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose Compare with the FP of the same gallery, from 2010, much better light, almost no noise, and higher level of detail at full resolution -- Basile Morin (talk) 05:14, 17 November 2024 (UTC)
- It's the head louse itself, not the egg. :) Janeklass (talk) 05:26, 17 November 2024 (UTC)
- Hard to distinguish :-) -- Basile Morin (talk) 05:45, 17 November 2024 (UTC)
- My picture has an egg and the link you provided has a head lice. :D Janeklass (talk) 05:47, 17 November 2024 (UTC)
- Maybe, but I would like to see it also :-) And it's from 2024 -- Basile Morin (talk) 05:50, 17 November 2024 (UTC)

- Comment It is too dark for my eyes. Charlesjsharp (talk) 09:59, 17 November 2024 (UTC)
- Neutral impressive, but as with the other nom it seems like it could be improved with post-processing. the hard part -- capturing such a detailed image of a tiny object on a clean background -- is over, and done well, so I hope to upgrade both of these votes soon. — Rhododendrites talk | 22:19, 20 November 2024 (UTC)
