- Comment I don't think the bee is "en su posición de descanso para pasar la noche" for the position is unnatural. The legs are contracted and don't touch the twig, and the sting is protruded. I think rather it is a dead animal, captured and impaled on a thorn by a Red-backed shrike. This a the normal behaviour of this bird, see here or even with larger animals --Llez (talk) 17:06, 29 November 2020 (UTC)]
- @Llez: wow, that's super cool! We should probably fix the caption with your explanation, preceded by "probably the bee was impaled...". This could also be an explanation why the focus stacking was made possible. Tomer T (talk) 18:50, 29 November 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose Llez explanation is plausible. It is certainly dead but could have placed there by a human. Charlesjsharp (talk) 19:44, 29 November 2020 (UTC)
- Comment But except for what looks like a bit of a halo effect on part of the twig, this is a great photo of the bee, so would you all support if it the description is changed? -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 23:43, 29 November 2020 (UTC)
- Comment I'd support with a better description, and, at any rate, the locality should be given, where the photo was taken. --Llez (talk) 07:24, 30 November 2020 (UTC)
- Comment True. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 08:37, 30 November 2020 (UTC)
- Neutral, pending resolution of the bee's situation. Daniel Case (talk) 04:59, 2 December 2020 (UTC)
I withdraw my nomination info probably suffers from inaccuracies. Tomer T (talk) 09:17, 3 December 2020 (UTC)
