Ciconia ciconia
Let's not get carried away with inter-wiki disputes on Commons, please. Keep enwiki issues to enwiki. --SHB2000 (talk) 03:33, 20 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Oppose Interesting capture, but the technical quality isn't there (lack of detail, noisy shadows, chromatic aberration). Perhaps some of these shortcomings can be mitigated with a less aggressive edit (e.g., lower overall exposure, less shadow pushing). In the meantime, I share Charles' frustration of seeing a sub-par image shoved into several Wikipedia pages when there's plenty of better alternatives ([1]) --Julesvernex2 (talk) 15:36, 19 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the constructive criticism, but I'd like to point out that I didn't find any other well-depicted (i.e. interesting, with same/better detail) PAIRS OF WHITE STORKS CUDDLING/MATING on Wiki. If you have one, give a link, please. Dion Art (talk) 19:29, 19 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • If that's the case, I suggest you add your image to an applicable article sub-section ('Breeding and lifespan', perhaps). Rather than show a specific behaviour, the front image should instead depict the main subject of the article (in this case, a white stork, not a pair of white storks. --Julesvernex2 (talk) 20:05, 19 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for nominating this image. Unfortunately, it does not fall within the Guidelines and is unlikely to succeed for the following reason: no supports besides nominator in four days, so it is not likely to be promoted at this point; nominator's behavior noted in discussion is not likely to help either Anyone other than the nominator who disagrees may override this template by changing {{FPX}} to {{FPX contested}} and adding a vote in support. Voting will then continue in the usual way. If not contested within 24 hours, this nomination may be closed.
