This image was originally uploaded with PD-RUSSIA, because the law used to allow for pre-1954 works. However, Russian law has changed and the dates are now pre-1941. This would have required the image to be deleted, so instead of being deleted, an editor has changed the licencing to PD:UKR instead. This is an absolute copyvio. There is zero evidence that the image was first published in the Ukrainian SSR, so PD-UKR does not apply. There are other images tagged in such a way which are also going to be nominated for blatant copyvio. russavia (talk) 16:43, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
