Can find no information on NPP Zvezda website which states their photos can be used for any purpose, and there are plenty of copyright notices on the site, none of which claim free use of company materials russavia (talk) 12:17, 16 October 2008 (UTC)
- The photos on Zvezda website as well as in the book are different! Please, take your time to read the image summary carefully. Please also notice the EXIF metadata for this photo. I have an oral permission to publish this particular photo from a photographer, who made it (back in 2001). Thanks for your understanding in advance. --Yuriy Lapitskiy (talk) 20:03, 21 October 2008 (UTC)
- If that does not convince you, I can only say that this Casio QV-3500EX was the first photocamera in our family. We made a lot of photos with it. --Yuriy Lapitskiy (talk) 20:05, 21 October 2008 (UTC)
- Note, that the photo on Zvezda website is of lower resolution and without metadata. And I released this photo in full (it was cropped by me on May 16, 2006), as I obtained it from the photographer (sorry, I'm not authorized to give his name). I placed the link and ISBN just in case. --Yuriy Lapitskiy (talk) 20:22, 21 October 2008 (UTC)
Deleted as this doesn't convince me for two reasons:
- Initially the uploader stated that this particular photo was taken from the book (Space-suits of Russia, a group of authors, NPP Zvezda, Moscow 2005, ISBN 5-7368-0285-6) and cropped by Yuriy Lapitskiy which was later changed to the photo, similar to this one, appeared in the book (Space-suits of Russia, a group of authors, NPP Zvezda, Moscow 2005, ISBN 5-7368-0285-6). This particular one was taken from the same series of photos by the same author. Cropped by Yuriy Lapitskiy.
- According to the image description this photograph was taken in August 2001 but the EXIF data tells that this image was taken on 12:15, 9 April 2002. This doesn't match, i.e. this is apparently not the original photograph.
This image can be restored if an appropriate permission email is sent by the copyright owner to our OTRS team. --AFBorchert (talk) 22:10, 23 December 2008 (UTC)
