No source for these numbers. No explanation of the definition of "terrorist incident" used. Damiens.rf 17:49, 24 October 2008 (UTC)

Delete Deleted on the Wikipedia for the very reasons it is nominated for deletion here. Pure OR. --Simonxag (talk) 19:17, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
- This map reflects informational imprint of 'terror' on the society, whatever this 'terror' means. It is based on Wikipedia lists, which reflect the public opinion on these matter. It will be further hosted on Knol. Emilfaro (talk) 22:28, 24 October 2008 (UTC)

Delete Wikipedia cannot be used as a source. I even just removed one so-called terrorist attack from the list. I bet it includes more than just one questionable "terrorist attack". ZeroOne (talk) 22:54, 24 November 2008 (UTC)
Delete There are arrests of suspected persons listed on the "List of terrorist incidents" pages; that by itself is fine (IMO), but lumping them into aggregate numbers is bound to yield useless data. Also, for the numbers to be usable, there'd have to be some kind of evidence that the lists are complete, which they almost certainly are not. -- 143.229.1.42 00:39, 5 February 2009 (UTC)
You know, it would have been normal etiquette to leave a comment on the image talk page or Emilfaro's user's talk page first... AnonMoos (talk) 17:08, 25 October 2008 (UTC)
Along with all the above, the numbers are too broad. If it were something like 1-9, 10-19, etc., that would make sense. But to suddenly jump from 1-9 to 10-79 doesn't.--76.101.244.16 23:02, 17 November 2008 (UTC)
- It's a Logarithmic scale :-) Emilfaro (talk) 02:05, 20 November 2008 (UTC)
What if we change the map title to "number of non-state terrorist incidents" (considering the data is correct) ? Paulrudd (talk) 00:37, 30 November 2008 (UTC)
The 10 - 79 could be changed to 10+ since it is talking about numbers of incidents. But half of the world is N/A, so this is not very reliable seeing as you can only compare half of the world to itself. - koa randy
- I have done better. So is it to be deleted, or what :-)? Emilfaro (talk) 20:31, 10 February 2009 (UTC)
Kept. At Commons we do not review whether a media file is "correct" or not, provided it is in use. This is in use, and hence will be kept. Please see the policy at COM:NPOV: "It is not the role of Commons to adjudicate on subject-matter disputes nor to force local projects to use one version of a file in preference to another. Provided that a file falls within Commons scope, and can be legally hosted, we make it available. Whether and under what conditions it is actually used is a matter for the local communities of the individual projects to decide.". MichaelMaggs (talk) 21:58, 30 March 2009 (UTC)
