What is the death date of J. Havas (source)? -- Cecil (talk) 14:31, 2 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You are right. I don't know. I delete this picture. --Aldebarante (talk) 14:35, 2 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Keep havas.com : "1835: Charles Louis Havas founds the first information agency in France." /Pieter Kuiper (talk) 14:39, 2 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
There is neither a 'J' in 'Charles Louis' nor does it show a death date. Quite the opposite, if it really is the same person then he still lived in 1935. -- Cecil (talk) 14:42, 2 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
It does not say "J. Havas". It says "HAVAS" (which must be the agency) followed by some code which looks like a J and a superscript. /Pieter Kuiper (talk) 14:48, 2 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Well, in my home country we often write first the family name and then just the initial of the first name, but if you think that it is an agency, then you are free to write them and find out who the author is and when he died or if they have marked it as anonymous in their catalogue. -- Cecil (talk) 14:52, 2 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Found the agency. It even has a WP-article. Now somebody just needs to write them. -- Cecil (talk) 14:54, 2 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Any news on this? Did someone write them? Patrícia msg 22:19, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
