Image was taken before 1955 however the State Library of New South Wales states that "This image is provided for research purposes only and must not be reproduced without the prior permission of the State Library of NSW." http://libapp.sl.nsw.gov.au/cgi-bin/spydus/RECOPT/PM/SUHDG/1492/61728,3?http://image.sl.nsw.gov.au/hall/384/38436r.jpg --Bidgee (talk) 12:17, 16 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Keep. Sure - so the uploader may have breached the terms of their visit to the library website; but since the copyright over the work has expired, the library has no rights over the republication of the image. A classic example of - unfortunately far too common with some libraries, archives, and museums. --Rlandmann (talk) 20:16, 21 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I noticed that too. However what are the copyright laws of Australia specifically in reference to this kind of situation? Seems like a keep from me too. Heres a clearly free use pic of coogee if this one can't be used, although before the pier: [1] Nesnad (talk) 12:06, 19 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for bring this back-up as I totally forgot about this. I've found out that any images before 1st of January 1955 are in the public domain and can't be restricted or have copyrights restricted therefore I withdraw my request for deletion. Bidgee (talk) 12:45, 19 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
