Replaced with duplicate at Wik-en. From UK book, English photo, so delete to be on safe side --Qp10qp (talk) 02:05, 20 June 2008 (UTC)
- Keep This is ridiculous. I will not ever support the deletion of PD works just because we don't know who made the scan. -Nard 03:27, 20 June 2008 (UTC)
- I made the scan from a book. The scan is now uploaded to Wikipedia, where there is no worry that the image will be put up for deletion on the grounds that it is scanned from a photograph that may be copyright by English law. If the sword of Damocles is going to hang, let it drop under controlled conditions rather than out of the blue. Qp10qp (talk) 21:50, 20 June 2008 (UTC)
- Delete N, Qp10qp is being sensible here in removing to enW an image which will have to be deleted on Commons (unless anyone is able to show that this is not an English picture). For background, see Commons:Deletion requests/Image:Edward VI Scrots c1550.jpg. --MichaelMaggs (talk) 15:00, 21 June 2008 (UTC)
- No, I perfectly understand the issues. I still believe the Commons position is ridiculous and I refuse to support it. -Nard 21:02, 21 June 2008 (UTC)
- You're welcome to have any view of policy you like, but your arguments for retention should be discounted by the closing admin if they are in fact argument or reasonings that are against policy. And while you're welcome not to support policy, doing things actively that are against policy may get you sanctioned. ++Lar: t/c 15:58, 25 June 2008 (UTC)

- Keep Is having a copy on another site any grounds for deleting from here?--Londoneye (talk) 11:23, 25 June 2008 (UTC)
- Yes. If we have it, it's reason to delete on the other wiki, unless it's tagged with a request not to delete from the original wiki. If the other wiki has it under fair use, and it's known to have copyright issues, we shouldn't have it. IMHO of course. This image is alleged to have copyvio issues. Once that's sorted, if it does, then it should be deleted, independent of whether it's somewhere else or not. ++Lar: t/c 15:58, 25 June 2008 (UTC)
Kept Public domain; normal procedure with PDs duplicated on other wikis is to delete at the other wiki and retain here. Durova (talk) 18:05, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
