In fact, this photograph is part of the archives of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum -- a United States Government Agency. While, as copyright holder, the museum controls distribution of the photograph, it has freely released it for use in Wikipedia.
- Three problems: PD-USGov doesn't apply to works the US Gov merely owns, just the ones it created. An important, if subtle point. Secondly, we have no evidence that it actually owns the copyright instead of just the physical photo, and third, we have no evidence that it has freely released it for use in Wikipedia.--Prosfilaes (talk) 16:20, 13 July 2008 (UTC)
Deleted. The image does not appear to be the work of the U.S. government, which means the copyright ostensibly belongs to the original author of the work. --jonny-mt 04:35, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
