In that case, French copyright law gives him an extra 30 years before his works enter the public domain. There are several possible interpretations of the law (see fr:Prorogations de guerre#Œuvres non-musicales d'auteurs morts pour la France); his works will enter the public domain either in October 2010 or in January 2016.
