In the case of ceramics, the decoration cannot be abstracted from its support: the former is determined by the latter. Books about Greek ceramics encompass both vase-painters and potters. A canvas is not a work of art, a vase is. And no, I have nothing against the subject, having myself provided some pictures for category:Greek pederasty.
