The (copyrightable) body shape is derived from depictions in My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic (images at the image category on the English Wikipedia); therefore this is a derivative of a non-free work. Anon126 ( ) 02:12, 13 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Delete We discussed this on IRC before the DR here, and I do agree that the stylized body shape (this is 'instantly' recognizable as a 'My Little Pony') seems to be in violation of Hasbro's copyright. While this is apparently not an 'actual' My Little Pony character, but a 'fan creation', it seems to be a fairly clear violation. Revent (talk) 03:34, 13 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
You may eventually discuss this onwiki for better transparency. Can you please give links to depictions from where this one may be (illegally) derived?
Please do not assume that everyone is familliar with such stuff, even if one is uploading such pictures..... --Itu (talk) 17:04, 14 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Itu: There is a link to the category of fair-use images on the English Wikipedia in my nomination. You can compare this image to the depictions there. Anon126 ( ) 20:13, 15 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Keep Not enough evidence given. Please, be a bit more specific. Not just argue "there are copyrighted figures out there. Look for them yourself". This is not serious discussion so far. Not every colored and professionel created pony is copyrighted. --Itu (talk) 00:15, 16 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

My claim is that the general shape of the characters is copyrightable. So, you can argue either that it is not, or that the shape of this character was created independently. (The latter case is unlikely.) Anon126 ( ) 01:07, 16 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Again, i cannot argue anyway, if you do not present a specific copyrighted depiction of what you claim to have a similar shape. --Itu (talk) 03:42, 16 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Let's see... how about this one: wikipedia:en:File:640px-Cheerilee and Big Mac with CMC picnic S02E17.png. I think it's a good representation of the characters in a "neutral" posture. Anon126 ( ) 05:05, 16 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
The only thing that looks significant similar is the shape of the legs and i doubt if this is something that is under protection... No, i don't see the copy. Keep. --Itu (talk) 07:11, 16 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Keep If i compare this image to the average style in anime and manga, then i have an issue with the deletion argument. Most manga and anime characters share a general concept (body/face/eye style) but still look different enough to not fall under the same copyright. Similarly i see it with the shape of the ponies. They share the basic shape and face, but they don't share the features which makes them individual. Given the similar situation i don't really see why this pony should fall under the copyright of Hasbro. --/人 ‿‿ 人\ 署名の宣言 21:22, 17 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Deleted: According to source page at deviant art, the artist wrote "yellowstar (c) for me art (c) for me"; making this a DW of that copyrighted image. This DN has nothing to do with "average styles" and everything to do with being copied from a living artist's work. Ellin Beltz (talk) 16:28, 21 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
