XeF6 is not octahedral symmetry as clearly seen here, but instead C3v (doi:10.1038/s41598-023-29313-5 and other refs in various wikis' articles). Best not to have a high-quality image that specifically illustrates something incorrectly. We have a bunch of Category:Xenon hexafluoride that do illustrate the reduced-symmetry form in 3D DMacks (talk) 06:02, 29 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Looking more closely at the use-cases, RnF6 is expected to be Oh (this file is used to represent both in various wikis). Given that the illustrated point (ha!) is surely "the 3D geometry", maybe it should just be renamed to File:Radon-hexafluoride-3D-balls.png or something like that? We don't want to mis-represent XeF6, but it does usefully and seeminly-correctly represent RnF6. DMacks (talk) 06:37, 29 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
