- Delete. Particpation in WLM doesn't necessarily mean there's proper permission with the architects/sculptors or their heirs or estate. See also Vriullop's input at Commons talk:Wiki Loves Monuments 2012#Freedom of panorama, which I read last night (Philippine Standard Time). Every permission must be made through correspondence with the artists or their heirs (COM:OTRS). JWilz12345 (Talk|Contrib's.) 05:02, 1 March 2021 (UTC)
- JWilz12345 Does this mean that the administrator Ruthven made the wrong decisions? --Микола Василечко (talk) 05:19, 1 March 2021 (UTC)
- I didn't say about the admin's decision. Rather, I only said about the circumstance of images of FOP-reliant subjects taken during WLM contests in countries with no acceptable FOP, like Ukraine. This also applies to ours (the Philippines), wherein dozens of images marked with WLM tags have been deleted due to no FOP reasons. Perhaps the admin or others were not aware of the forum page of WLM 2012 that I gave here. JWilz12345 (Talk|Contrib's.) 06:54, 1 March 2021 (UTC)

- Comment File uploaded during WML have the permission from the copyright holder. Usually this permission is managed by the local chapter. Please check the permission there before opening any DR here, because we might delete the photo of a monument with a regular permission. And it is untrue that all permission have to pass through OTRS: WLM ones are a clear example of a different archive for permissions, and if the artist worked for hire (e.g. statue made for a city), it is also untrue that them or their family have to give the permission. To the next closing admin, I would say to keep unless there are serious reasons to doubt of the WML authorisation, and after possibly checking the discussion. --Ruthven (msg) 14:46, 1 March 2021 (UTC)
- I do not know about this permission. I had to take such permissions from the authors personally. See here. If local state administrations (local state institutions) have agreements with the authors, then such agreements should be required by the organizers of the competition WML. --Микола Василечко (talk) 15:45, 1 March 2021 (UTC)
- Ruthven, you mean to ask WMUA members? @Ilya, Base, NickK, EleNte, and Tohaomg: @MeOlya, Mcoffsky, Venzz, Марина Лютинська, and Сергій Липко: --Liuxinyu970226 (talk) 10:58, 7 March 2021 (UTC)
- Well, in this case the permission is impossible to obtain as the author is not known. A reference website identifies the author of this monument as 'mass production'. Mass production was indeed common in Ukraine in 1960s, and such works are typically attributed to one of the numerous 'art funds' (художній фонд) in Ukraine. If the institution in charge of heritage protection itself does not know who the copyright owner is, most likely nobody knows who that is — NickK (talk) 11:31, 7 March 2021 (UTC)
Kept: Mass production - typical monument, per NickK & Commons:Deletion requests/File:Кременецька районна державна адміністрація - Кременецька районна рада - Адмінбудинок - 17023233.jpg. --Anatoliy (talk) 13:18, 13 March 2021 (UTC)
