Compared with File:Trichloridobistriphenylphosphineoxidemanganese(III).jpg, the file here is more out-of-focus and has no offsetting advantages. DMacks (talk) 20:42, 21 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Keep for attribution (files had been uploaded by two different users) and because JPEG is a lossy format. @DMacks: I don’t understand what you mean by “more out-of-focus”. It’s the same picture. RoBunsen took the picture and uploaded the PNG, Keresluna made a derivative (the JPG) of it (applying some marginal color shift if I’m not wrong). ‑‑ Kays (T | C) 21:06, 21 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Good point about attribution. In the past, simple change-of-filetype has only sometimes been considered 'derivative'. Regarding focus, at full-size they are obviously the same. But the PNG becomes blurry when scaled down (such as on commons own displays) whereas the JPG retains better resolution. DMacks (talk) 19:18, 22 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The file is fine and should be kept 2620:CC:8000:409:0:0:0:AE7D 21:31, 21 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Deleted: PNG is not an appropriate file type for photographs. --Leyo 21:04, 27 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
