- Please, go ahead and delete. Not really that fussed. I used this as an example to teach someone how to upload an image to Commons. However, it might be nice, especially for new users, to just avoid confusion, to actually leave a message rather than just sticking in a template that means nothing to people who don't understand them.
- Nominating an item for deletion which fails to comply with our policies is a standard procedure on Wikimedia Commons (see Commons:Deletion policy). If you want to teach someone how to upload material on Wikimedia Commons you might want to use content, that is available under a free license or in the public domain. Amongst other services Flickr can be a suitable source for example items. Please note that the template is created automatically. If you have any suggestions about improving the template/message please leave your feedback at Template talk:Idw/en or Commons talk:Deletion policy (which is more likely to be read).
