- It's from the LibriVox.org were all content is in the public domain. Are you saying a movie poster, published in 1921, is still considered to be in copyright hosted on servers in the USA in 2023? -- GreenC (talk) 07:43, 21 December 2023 (UTC)
- GreenC, please familiarize yourself with Commons:License laundering policy. LibriVox may hold copyright for their audio recordings, but no way for other people artworks, including images. Another policy - COM:EVID - clarifies that it is you who must answer the question you raise. --Komarof (talk) 08:18, 21 December 2023 (UTC)
Deleted: per nomination & discussion. Cover artwork is clearly copyrightable, is apparently from 2012 edition, I saw no evidence it was used in first US printing in 1922. --Infrogmation of New Orleans (talk) 18:52, 31 December 2023 (UTC)
- Additional comment: The source link says that this is the cover of the book. I have been informed by User:GreenC that the artwork was originally not from the book, but from promotional poster for the 1921 Swedish film "Körkarlen", known in English as "The Phantom Carriage". Per Commons:Copyright rules by territory/Sweden, copyrighted for 70 years after death of artist - the file lacks the name of artist, much less any info on date of death, so at present we seem to lack information on whether copyright has yet expired in source country and if not when it will. The image of the film poster is on en:w under copyrighted fair use claim File:Carretaposterfe2.jpg.
