They say there Possible copyright status: Public Domain, but they don't say WHY this book is (possibly even) in the public domain. --Rosenzweig τ 21:01, 16 July 2023 (UTC)

So what you are saying is at first glance these sources may seem reliable but in reality its more complicated and deserves further research to prove otherwise. BacktoSchoolForever0700 (talk) 21:30, 17 July 2023 (UTC)

Specifically in this case, if some site says that something is possibly in the public domain that is definitely not enough. Also don't simply believe every claim some web site makes, but try to think about if it is plausible that something is in the public domain and why that would be the case. --Rosenzweig τ 23:15, 17 July 2023 (UTC)
