That photo was from svnaf.net which has since gone defunct. I recall it being widely published in April 1975 as well. It's likely the photographer was one of the communist invaders of South Vietnam, as they were overrunning the base at the time, and the photo was taken for propaganda purposes and was disseminated to the news media. It was uploaded from the svnaf website as a public domain photo (and I cleaned it up as well taking out the grainyness, and also making contrast and brightness adjustments). I don't think being widely published means it is in public domain. And even communist invaders have its copyright law which the U.S should respect, according to the Berne Convention‎. Therefore, I suggest deleting this picture here and re-uploading it on English Wikipedia with a non-free content license.--Amore Mio (talk) 20:23, 9 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
