a) Year of creation, owner, place or any data are unknown; b) logos of en:Skolkovo Moscow School of Management have been added to the picture, so File:Suprematizm.jpg is clearly an advertisement (like the article on Skolkovo School on en.wikipedia is) --Rosenkohl (talk) 19:00, 14 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Keep Watermarking this painting is a philistine act, but the vandalism is not very prominent; image still has some value. /Pieter Kuiper (talk) 22:48, 15 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I don't understand what exactly you mean by the term "value"?! Wikipedia does not own this picture, so it has no financial value for this project. The file is an advertisment, so if it has a fincancial value, then for the Skolkovo School in their presentation on wikipedia.
No, it is not a en:watermark. A watermark can only be seen when light is transmitted. But here we see the logos in pastel colours in topview. So you can't look at the picture without seeing the logos, (though probably not recognizing them immediately).
The file has no educational value either: Because of my point b), the logos, you can't use it in any article. So actually my point a) is more a side-aspect: Unlike for the other files from Category:Kazimir Malevich, or most other files on commons of paintings or pieces of art, here we don't get any background knowledge about the image. But the purpose of project wikipedia is not illustrative but educational: it is not about images, but about knowledge.

Delete, I agree with Rosenkohl, the watermarks are prominent, an reader not knowing the paintings will think that colorful balls belong to the painting (as I just thought, I looked for a wordmark in the painting, now I looked at en:Skolkovo Moscow School of Management and see what he means). With this watermarks the images are useless - or better to say, because they are in use: the projects shouldnt use them, this is unencyclopedic and extremyl missleading content. --Martin H. We also have File:Malevich-Suprematism.jpg and I just added File:Kazimir Malevich - Suprametism.jpg. --Martin H. (talk) 02:32, 8 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Delete Replacements available; it seems that this one is the wrong way around. /Pieter Kuiper (talk) 07:29, 8 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
