No authorship information, unknown copyright situation. No indication that the author would have died before 1942. Jcb (talk) 12:15, 29 September 2017 (UTC)
- I do not remember at the moment, but it seems that I made a mistake while transferring the image from trwiki by not editing the top parts back then. There are other free images of Galiyev, and they are now being used instead of this image. The original description indicates "Yukarıda bulunan fotoğraf kendisine aittir." which means that " the photo above belongs to himself", which I doubt. This image is most likely cropped version of File:Mirsaid Sultan-Galiev, F. Erzin, I.K. Firdevs.jpg (transferred from http://www.archive.gov.tatarstan.ru/_go/anonymous/print/?id=11693&type=article), which may also need further details. If that image is free, we can consider this image as the cropped version of File:Mirsaid Sultan-Galiev, F. Erzin, I.K. Firdevs.jpg which is taken in 1919 and may currently belong to the Tatarstan state archive. --Bulgu (talk) 12:39, 29 September 2017 (UTC)
- Keep Before 1923. --E4024 (talk) 12:40, 29 September 2017 (UTC)
- @E4024: 'before 1923' has no meaning for works from outside the United States. We don't accept images that are not out of copyright in there source country. Jcb (talk) 20:04, 29 September 2017 (UTC)
- @Jcb: What about 1919 in Russia? --E4024 (talk) 10:04, 1 October 2017 (UTC)
- In Russia, the save date is 7 November 1917, see {{PD-RusEmpire}}. Jcb (talk) 11:09, 1 October 2017 (UTC)
- Better not to delete for 35 days. Let's be more practical and pragmatical. Or as an admin you take the responsibility (or do the favour) to revive it on that date, please. Thanks. --E4024 (talk) 06:55, 2 October 2017 (UTC)
- @E4024: Oops, I made a small mistake. It's 1917, not 2017. Works from Russia published before 7 November 1917 are free. Jcb (talk) 14:34, 2 October 2017 (UTC)
- When you make corrections to your previous talk, I look stupid to the readers (if any :). --E4024 (talk) 14:39, 2 October 2017 (UTC)
- That's why I spelled out the correction and my mistake. Jcb (talk) 14:51, 2 October 2017 (UTC)
