Image Failed flickr review in less than 1 day as 'Non-Commercial' and 'No-Derivatives' Creative Commons. It was never free to begin with and its license is far too restrictive for Commons. This should be deleted ASAP. Leoboudv (talk) 01:37, 1 April 2009 (UTC)
- Did you see my conversation with the author on the flickr page? Did you notice we had no other images of this species? I will approach the author and ask him to change his licence. I hadn't realised - anyone reviewing this could have done so as well. it might take a couple of days. Casliber (talk) 02:37, 1 April 2009 (UTC)

- Your friend's flickr license at upload was never free enough for Commons. If you want to get it approved for Commons, ask your friend to license the flickr image as either "Attribution Creative Commons" OR "Attribution-ShareAlike Creative Commons." Deleted. From the author on Flickr in response to the CC-BY or CC-BY-SA request: "I thought it was already under that license, but if not, I have changed it to non-commercial CC-BY-SA, so it should be all set now." Someone may be able to explain to him how throwing that little "non-commercial" in front of it changes everything. It makes it not-free, which means it can't stay here.
