Max Ingrand ( author of the stained glass windows) died in 1969. Not PD before 2039 XIIIfromTOKYO (talk) 19:10, 15 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If so, the whole Max Ingrand category, and the files referenced whithin, must be deleted (20th-century stained glass windows in Alsace is a good candidate to total removal, too). Thomas Linard (talk) 23:12, 15 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
See Commons:Freedom of panorama#France for reference. Thomas Linard (talk) 23:46, 15 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
No, 20th-century stained glass windows in Alsace is not a good candiate for total removal, many works were made by Ott Frères (the last member of that workshop died in 1945) or by Joseph Ehrismann (died 1937) and are absolutely PD. @Thomas Linard: Get your facts straight! --Edelseider (talk) 06:37, 16 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
You're right. According to Commons:Freedom of panorama#France, the practise is: "If the subject of the picture is either a building or an architectural artwork, and if the picture is already used on the French-speaking Wikipedia, w:fr:Utilisateur:Le plus bot can transfer the picture from Commons to this local Wikipedia under a local exception, as voted by the community in 2006 and 2011 (see w:fr:Wikipédia:Exceptions au droit d'auteur#Exceptions)." Thomas Linard (talk) 07:05, 16 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
The exception only covers "œuvres architecturales". Artworks are not concerned by it. --XIIIfromTOKYO (talk) 08:46, 16 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
You can delete works by Max Ingrand but you cannot delete works made by artists who died more than 70 years ago. It should be that simple. Ott Frères, Joseph Ehrismann and Maison Champigneulle (Paris) are all public domain (Emmanuel Champigneulle died in 1942).
Moreover, some works in the category Max Ingrand are works from the 15th-century that he simply restored after World War II, like some of the Sélestat windows. --Edelseider (talk) 09:40, 16 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
For information, we have a discussion on the same subject here: Commons:Deletion requests/File:Vitrail de la Vierge aux bras étendus.jpg and here Commons:Deletion requests/File:Virgen estrasburgo UE.jpg Thomas Linard (talk) 14:22, 16 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Deleted: per nomination. Of course we're talking here only of this recent 1956 work. Ruthven (msg) 06:10, 26 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
