Comment i have no objections for deletion. --Oren neu dag (talk) 12:53, 16 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • It seems that this image was based on a raster image by VI.com, but vectorized by Oren neu dag. Since the seal itself is {{PD-old}} (1864), it should be OK to keep. --Tryphon (talk) 15:12, 16 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • My comment applies to all of these vector-image.com images. Is it possible to take a public domain work and draw it in a manner which is either a complete copy or a positive derivative work, and then claim that you now own the copyright? Say the old Coca-cola logo (i.e. File:Coca-Cola logo.svg), which is old enough to be in the public domain, if I drew or traced the logo, could I actually claim copyright over the Coca-cola logo (ignoring TM for the time being)? This seems the same as taking photographs of old paintings. There is not enough originality put into such copies of PD works for any copyright claim to be valid. I believe, therefore, that these files are still in the public domain because they are depicting identical representations to PD works, even if a vector-images.com employee had to trace the logo and create the file. (a side note, I believe Oren neu dag simply took the already exiting vector file in EPS format or whatever, and simply re-saved it as SVG. I don't believe Oren neu dag was the one to "vectorize" these images, but that doesn't change my comment above).-Andrew c (talk) 00:22, 17 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The Image was an ESP file that I downloaded from VI.com and converted to SVG. user:Rocich is right, and VI.com doesn't allow for the vector images to be used on free terms. that is why i do not oppose the deletion. --Oren neu dag (talk) 21:08, 26 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Deleted. Converted from a non-free EPS file from Vector-Images.com. --Tryphon (talk) 21:40, 26 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
