Low quality-control AI upscaling of File:Rosaparks.jpg, where the subject's eyeglasses are grafted into the skin of her face. The existing lower resolution image is a more useful one. Belbury (talk) 19:37, 19 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  •  Keep Looking side by side I am not seeing "grafted into the skin of her face", she is wearing rimless glasses. --RAN (talk) 20:59, 19 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
On the original image the picture is grainy enough that we can't see the edge of the glass but can guess that it was there. On the high-resolution image the AI has acted as if the glass simply isn't there in some places, and upscaled as if it were flat, unbroken skin. It's perhaps clearest above Parks' right (as we look at her) eye, where the edge of the glass is subtly implied by light and shade in the original but has been smoothed away almost completely by the AI.
If we were actually looking at a 1052 × 1272 pixel photograph, the edge of the glass would be much clearer. Current AI upscaling generally isn't very good with people who are wearing spectacles. Belbury (talk) 21:28, 19 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  •  Delete per Belbury. AI 'enhancement" improves some parts of the photo while making other parts worse. -- Infrogmation of New Orleans (talk) 11:24, 15 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
